I brought a car I just bought here because I was having transmission issues, and a coolant leak. The inspection ended up being a two day affair, which they did not charge me for at all. I was mostly dealing with Martin, who couldn't have been more honest or nice. When they finished inspecting, they told me their theories about the transmission, and they told me about the coolant leak, and they did not try to throw in any unnecessary fixes. I was worried, because they quoted me between 700 and 2200 depending on what they saw when they opened the transmission (and also including the coolant leak repair). I was freaked out because that is a lot, and I've had bad experiences with mechanics in the past ripping me off, but I let them do their thing, and to my surprise, it ended up being less than the quoted price and was a completely different issue altogether. They could have swapped the transmission filter anyway, but didn't do it because I didn't need it. I needed the fluid to be swapped, because they previous owner put the wrong fluid in there. That issue has been solved! Part 2 of this story is that after driving around for a week in the car, I have a massive coolant leak. I decided to get the car towed to the Car Nerds again, and after inspection, and repair, they only charged me for the tow truck fee (I used their guy) and for the part - no labor. They showed me what happened with the old part, showed me the new one in the car, topped off my fluids, and so far it's been driving great. I may have to update this in the future, but my experience with these guys these past few weeks has been stellar. So far, I'd definitely recommend them. Next time I have an issue with my car, the Car Nerds will be my first phone call.
