Santa Monica auto repair

I brought my Prius here for maintenance on a Saturday. It was a pleasure to be greeted by enthusiasm, these guy know their stuff and they do extra things, like walk you through some of the internals of your vehicle. Service is excellent and the price is fair- really fair. Entrusting my baby to these guys and having the peace of mind knowing that they'll really take care of "it" - priceless.

I will start by saying that I have bought, owned and maintained all my vehicles. I have always had trust issues with mechanics so I avoided them like the plague. (Ebola for a more modern reference) My fianc went in there first for a few issues on her C class mercedes, I immediately got mad and asked why she would waste her money when I can do it all. However, I shot myself in the foot with that. This place is great. Very honest, upfront and courteous, which is impossible to find in LA. (Or anywhere for that matter) Rony is always on top of everything going on with my cars and now services my tacoma, BMW and mercedes as well my most of my family (the ones that haven't escaped like Kurt Russell) and they drive hybrid cars (he specializes in hybrid). To make a long story longer, Rony and the guys at car nerds are a one stop shop for all your cars needs. Take your car in and see for yourself :)

This place is the best! I had a problem with my car. I initially thought it was my alarm system that wasnt letting my car start but Rony (the owner) was able to figure out that it was something else. He was very helpful. My car was parked a few feet away from the repair shop and Rony was willing to make the trip to take a look at my car. (You dont find a lot of people like that) This place not only specialize in hybrid vehicles but they are knowledgeable with gas vehicles as well; my experience being a testament of that. I would not hesitate to go there again.

I took my car in this morning for regular maintenance. Usually I go to the dealer and they tell me that I need an engine flush, oil upgrade, and a million other extraneous services in addition to the oil change. Rony was a nice change of pace - he didn't try to upsell me. They changed a few filters and didn't charge any extra labor for it. He is clearly trying to offer a different kind of customer experience than the fear tactics used by other repair shops, and I really appreciate that. Nice guy, nice shop. I will definitely go back.

I came into Car Nerds to get a synthetic oil change and also to have my car inspected since my check tire light was on and had obviously thrown me into a panic, because replacing a tire is the last thing my wallet needs. I called around to the closest auto repair shops to my work to get estimates on my Hyundai Tucson. I'm so happy I didn't take my car into the closest shop next to me where some shmuck wanted to charge me upwards of $115! I only paid around $50 dollars for the oil change at Car Nerds and they assured me my tires were fine, only need a bit more air pressure which they took care of. It is so refreshing to find an auto repair shop that didn't try to scam me, which I get a lot as a young female (sad society). My family owns and operates a business just like theirs back home on the East Coast., so I know first hand what a fair price looks like and what doesn't. Also happy that I didn't have to mention this to the owner to "bully" him into being fair like I have sadly had to do at other places. The place was very clean, super friendly staff, and very accommodating of my needs!

Car Nerds is the best. Once you've experienced the awesome service at this shop, you'll immediately know why their ratings on Yelp and other sites are so great. Rony is very understanding of a vehicle's needs and promptly sets expectations from the very beginning.All the guys here are very receptive to questions/concerns, especially if (like in my case) you are looking for more detailed information about a problem or inquiring about preventative maintenance. Also, if you're in a rush, be sure to set up an appointment and they will take care of you when you get there.It's a serious relief to know I have a place to take my ride as long as I'm in the neighborhood.

Third time here, and you know that feeling when you know you won't get ripped off, when the work you came to have done will be done, when you are a valued customer and your requests are being heard? You know that feeling? Well it's abundant here. Rony is a big Boss and he'll take care of you. But if abuse is your thing I have a guy.

Carnerds is awesome. After my local jeep dealer shut down i was having trouble finding anyone I trusted. Not any more. Carnerds is trustworthy and super good at what they do. Right on.

These guys are so nice and honest I would recommend them to anyone. They have helped me twice free of charge when the other places on pico were trying to rip me off by charging hundreds of dollars. I got yelp just because I wanted to give these guys an amazing review!
