Saved me over $1350.00! My 2010 Challenger suddenly started running very rough. Pulled into a Pep Boys on Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica. They ran the diagnostics and showed me the code. I had a transmission problems that they do not work on (they did not charge me for the test, Thanks). I took it to Transmission Masters.They ran the test and came up with the same code. Their estimate was "$3,000 base". I called around some other shops and talked to Roni at Car Nerds. He came across as straight forward, not like the other shops who sound like "Slick Willy Salesmen". Car Nerds ran the diagnostics and came up with the same code and some other minor codes. They made all of the repairs, dealer parts, total cost (including taxes).... $1650 It has been over a month, the car runs great. Highly recommended.

A dealer-based service representative told me I needed $1700 worth of repairs for my 2012 Prius. I consulted Car Nerds and they said no, just a $150 repair was probably warranted. I have since learned that dealership service reps work on commission and use low cost service deals as a way of upselling you services you probably don’t need. Don’t be fooled. Go to car nerds and get a second opinion – you’ll be glad you did.
